Our Support

In a small village in Africa, there were a group of strong and resilient women. These women, who were single mothers, faced numerous challenges in their daily lives. However, they came together with a shared vision and determination to create a better future for themselves and their children.

In 2019, a group of 30 women. mostly single mothers, widows, and caregivers, who had various skills, including that of poultry farming, came together with the main purpose of achieving women's empowerment through “self-help." We decided to start supporting them.

Their journey began with a unique initiative that focused on poultry farming. With our help of remote support and guidance from a local organization, these women received the knowledge and resources they needed to start their own chicken-raising venture. Our organization believed in the potential of every girl and woman, encouraging them to overcome the deep-seated traumas they had experienced, such as betrayal, sexual assault, and the loss of control over their lives.

Through their hard work and the support they received, the women established a sustainable and thriving community. They embraced their local ingenuity and self-help mindset, successfully managing their poultry farms. This not only provided them with economic independence but also paved the way for gender equality and responsible consumption and production, aligning perfectly with the goals of sustainable development.

As their poultry farming project flourished, the women's lives transformed. They were no longer limited by their circumstances but instead became agents of change in their community. The initiative not only empowered them but also served as an inspiration to other women facing similar challenges.

The impact of their work extended beyond their village. It spread a message of unity and diversity, breaking down the barriers of prejudice. We believed that the soul has no color and celebrated the strength and resilience of the women's diverse community. Supporting and uplifting these women provided a powerful antidote to the biases and stereotypes that often plague society.

In the end, the story of these African single mothers raising chickens together became a testament to the power of collaboration, resilience, and belief in the potential of every individual. Their journey showcased the transformative impact of sustainable development and the unwavering spirit of women who refused to let their past define them.
